If you’re going to carry a gun, it’s probably a good idea

The EDC Tourniquet: Development and Application.

I don’t carry one on my person. I do have a couple at home and one in each vehicle in the first aid kit. I’m fond of the CAT tourniquet. The Army uses it too.

I carry a tactical purse, so I attached a CAT in a carrier to the outside of it, in addition to the one on the blowout kit in the car. (Keep an izzie in one of the outside pockets, and a sniffle kit inside.)

I have the RATS (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HJ1PUXY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) because of advise from a former ranger who’d used them in dirkadirkastan.

I have a gunshot trauma kit in each car. Also extra loaded magazines.

So am I now gonna have to carry a gun, spare reload, maybe a backup gun, knife, pepper spray, flashlight, and tourniquet to be ‘tactical’?

  5. SPQR Says:

Yes, Paul. And it must be in coyote tan,

I carry a CAT tourniquet and nitrile gloves in my EDC bag.

Having and using a tourniquet saved a State Trooper’s life up here in PA a few months ago.
