Aww, how cute

David Scharfenberg: Hand over your weapons

No. Now what?

  1. Old NFO Says:

    Over my dead body…

  2. Flight-ER-Doc Says:

    Come, and take them.

  3. Fred Says:

When they come for guns I won’t be home. I’ll be his house burning it to the ground with everybody inside. Are you sure David?

  4. Heath J Says:

    Nope.

    Your move.

Unless of course David is the guy knocking on the door for whatever merry group of idiots signs up for disarming us. At least then I won’t be going alone.

  5. JTC Says:

“…(confiscation) difficult to enact in the current political climate.”

Current, as in for the last 240 years or so.

So the Aussie PM wore a “bulletproof” vest? They’re going to need a lot more of those.

  6. Will Says:

I’m thinking that the cops won’t make it to lunch time before they quit. Well, those that are left. There is simply not enough badge toters in the nation to make a dent in it.

  7. Dogzard Says:

    My comment exactly.

And, David, just how many homes are you going to visit to confiscate their guns?

  8. majmike Says:

“There will be a rifle behind every blade of grass.” — Some dead Asian guy.

  9. Adam Lawson Says:

Back when Kimmel was ranting about this, I had a thought.

    “Come and get ’em, pussy.”

I know what the first part is in greek, does anyone know the second? I have an idea for a hat…

  10. rickn8or Says:

    Adam, translate.google.com says it’s “μουνί”

  11. JTC Says:

    @majmike,

The jap may have never said that, but he believed it.

And politicians here know it for sure; that’s what scares them the most. Kids and churchgoers? Pfft, they don’t give a shit about them, it’s their own asses they’re concerned with.

Which is why you can bet that none of them will be knocking on doors if it ever comes time for the collection.

  12. majmike Says:

    @JTC,

Very true, but I love the sentiment.

Someone said, “Kill anyone who comes to seize your guns.” Works for me.

  13. Bill Twist Says:

No. Ball is in your court. But I should warn you, that ball is of the 7.62mm variety.

  14. Bob Says:

I think you meant to say, “No, but please have my bump-stock.”

  15. Sabre22 Says:

Local police will not participate those that do would have to leave the community or face retaliation. I know since the 2nd amendment does not cover modern rifles the the 1st amendment does not cover anything but a hand operated printing press lets see how they like it.

  16. Ron W Says:

I thought they told us, “nobody wants to take your guns”. So now, let them them disarm and lead by example.

  17. Ron W Says:

Some claim that this quote is spurious and can’t be found in the writings of Thomas Jefferson, but whether it originates with him or not, it’s right on re: gun rights and ALL of the Bill of the Rights:

“The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.”

(Jefferson did use “the chains of the Constitution” in another quote)

  18. Paul Koning Says:

One item often overlooked in this left wing drug dreams is how many cops and military would refuse to take part, with reference to their oath to defend the Constitution.
The other thing that’s interesting is to see this sort of crap come from the Boston Pravda, err, the Boston Globe. Just down the road from where the previous attempt to confiscate personal weapons (in 1775) failed spectacularly.

  19. RI Red Says:

I know what the first part is in greek, does anyone know the second?

    Molon Labe, Labia?

  20. Paul Koning Says:

Μολὼν λαβέ — or in our alphabet, Molon Labe.

I saw a nice variant in Neil Smith’s blog (ncc-1776.org): Μολὼν λαβέ μητροκοίτης — that last word translates to “m***f***ers”. 🙂

  21. Paul Koning Says:

Molon Labe. I just tried to cut/paste the Greek but this blog won’t take that…

  22. rickn8or Says:

Paul, it’s interesting that according to translate.google.com “μητροκοίτης” translates as “mother-in-law”.

Take from that what you will…

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
