I hope they remember who it is that wants to disarm them

So, some one has started a group that trains gays how to use a firearm. Because of violence from the “far right”. Most of the political violence seen in the news wasn’t exactly coming from the “far right”.

It would help if the term “far right” had a discernable meaning. In Europe it means Fascism (modified Marxism – another of a myriad of forms of coercive control of a society) and “far left” means communism, or a Stalinist (slightly more murderous)form of communism. So their entire political spectrum is all far left compared to the American principles of liberty. That far left has promoted the idea that if you get far enough to the right, you get to the KKK and Fascism, which are both far left.

“Accuse others of what you do.” — Karl Marx

In other words; they have no idea what they’re talking about. They need some help. They need to know that the Democrats were the pro-slavery side in the 1860s and the Republican Party was formed to abolish slavery, that the Democrats’ terrorist arm was the KKK, and that MKL Jr. was a Republican, a Christian, and an NRA member. They need to learn that Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood and to this day a major darling of the Progressives, was very tight with the KKK, as was President Woodrow Wilson (promoted the KKK from the Whitehouse), they were both enamored with Eugenics (which is where Hitler got some of his ideas), and Sanger considered black people to be “unfit” (and probably homosexuals too), and that Wilson RE-segregated the U.S. military after it had been integrated post Civil War (most Progressives will assert that FDR integrated it for the first time).

That’s all the stuff they attribute to the “far right” and yet it is all Progressive/Democrat Party/far left in both nature and origin. So basically they’re bumbling about in a fog of lies, not of their making, thinking it the truth. In fact, if you go all the way to the right in politics you get to Jefferson, imperfect as he may have been in that regard. If you go all the way to the “right” in your heart, you get to Jesus, who promoted only love, service to others, gratitude and forgiveness, and he warned against judgment– There’s your “farthest far right”, and it’s as far away from Fascism (central planning of a coercive system) as is imaginable.

The right/left model is a piece of shit anyway. We should be talking principles and ideals rather than groups, and fucked-up, twisted labels.

So what do you do with all of that? You have to take them to school, and do it without offending them or accusing them. It isn’t easy. I’ve done it, but it took a lot of one-on-one time.

The fact that the Republican Party, through brow-beating, irritation and accusation, plus greed and avarice, and other forms of corruption, has become a sick joke, doesn’t help.

Maybe you could start by showing them this comment.

Yeah, I know; TL;DR. So we’re basically fucked as a country.

Well, I hope they learn that deadly force is not justifiable when someone won’t bake you a cake.

But it is justifiable when someone tries to throw you of a building.

  3. Rob Says:

Why didn’t they just join the Pink Pistols?

Why is the sexual orientation of the participants relevant?

As a rule, when I am teaching a gun safety class, I don’t CARE who the trainees find sexually attractive.

Are these delicate snowflakes so insecure that they can’t tolerate even being in a class run by someone who doesn’t bat for the same team?

Let’s make concealed carry a form of virtue signalling to more people. I support carry by all law abiding citizens.

The responsibility and experience of gun ownership and daily carry will only improve the individuals doing it, and gun rights will benefit from a larger population of gun owners.

  6. Paul Koning Says:

Pink Pistols, indeed. Or Operation Blazing Sword. Both pointing out whenever the occasion arises.

As for virtue signaling, that’s possible. But remember that the gun haters have promoted their stereotypes long enough and hard enough that plenty of people might believe them. Erin Palette started OBS to counter the “gun owners hate gays” stereotype. The classes she helped organize are not about virtue signaling, they are about (1) teaching good gun ownership practices while (2) demonstrating that the stereotype is a lie.

Similarly, I’ve seen some places that offer classes aimed specifically at women. Same thing: if it helps demolish the “gun guys don’t like armed women” nonsense, it makes sense to me.

  7. Paul Koning Says:

Typo above, I meant “Both worth pointing out…”

  8. Ron W Says:

Carrying the means of self defense is a right! Hint, hint, “bear” is a synonym for carry. Even the 1857 SCOTUS Dred Scott decision which kept black people as non-persons and legal slaves because the majority opined that if they were persons, “they could go armed everywhere they went”. Denying the right of armed self defense wherever one goes has been and still is a chief vestige of slavery.

Any elected official or government agent who doesn’t trust the citizens to go armed are NOT to be trusted and have NO business being entrusted with our delegated power!

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
