The Las Vegas shooting

Sorry, I’ve not posted much on it. Because I don’t know anything. There’s just not a lot of info out about it that is meaningful, other than the police keep changing the timeline. And conspiracy theories and fake news on the issue abound. Careful what you read and even more careful what you believe.

    Well said.

The lack of information does say a few things all on its own however. We’ve seen this over and over.

Whenever “police are still looking for a motive” was the line, or whenever the perp was in custody but they were taking forever to release his name, it meant jihad. In this case, “police still looking for a motive” means much the same thing. For certain it means the story doesn’t fit the left narrative well enough to divulge, and it may be damaging to the left narrative.

We all know, for a one hundred percent certainty, that if the shooter had been, let’s say, an organizer for a local Republican Party headquarters, that’s all we’d be hearing about for months, regardless how much or how little else was known.

We do know that the guy packed an inordinate number of guns to the hotel suite. Makes no sense. That’s a data point. Supposedly had a note with trajectory info on it. That also makes no sense, given that he was bump firing and using automatics on a mass of people, so precision shots were not an issue. Lots of things we are being told make no sense, and that, so far, is the story.

And so it invites all manner of speculation. The shooter did things that, given his evil plan to kill people, made no sense, and we’re not being given all the facts.

I don’t believe any of those points are arguable, but then they don’t tell us anything specific either.

Beyond the fact that we already know the left wants these stories to help further their anti rights agenda (they’ve been doing it for decades, so it’s not arguable), none of the other details really matter anyway. The guy is this, the guy is that, he’s green or purple, and belongs to this or that club or organization; doesn’t change a thing, really.

The left still wants to deny people their rights, so what else is there to discuss other than how to stop them and make them give up?

Also, regarding the latest proposed violation; politicians did not create and do not own our rights, therefore they cannot bargain said rights away for any reason or under any pretense. Say what you will about tactics and all the rest; they simply don’t have the authority. To act as though they have such authority, may be very clever, but it is to misunderstand the source, nature and meaning of rights.

And THAT RIGHT THERE is our main problem.

So I don’t care about the Las Vegas shooter’s story. To hell with him and to hell with the media.

Help the victims, and protect human rights– The two jobs go together nicely, and neither involves bargaining away something that isn’t yours to appease the enemy.

You won’t say anything because you don’t know anything? Why should you be different?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
