Clipazine

Magazine clips

Cute. Another example was perpetrated by Arne Boberg in his design of the magazine for the XR45. Unlike the XR9, it holds the rounds in the correct position for the action to pick up with a clip (a ridge) that engages the cartridge rim. The idea was for it to handle cartridges with a range of overall lengths while still positioning the rear of the cartridge in the right place. And of course, part of the fun is to call it a “magazine clip”.

Eventually someone will attach a Picatinny rail to the clippy magazine baseplate, making the device suitable for use with lasers, flashlights, rangefinders, drink holders….

Yet another solution seeking a problem.

Mike’s, I saw that years ago somewhere. Some rig to allow you to attach your light to your base plate. Seems like it was for an M9 in the days before accessory rails.

  5. HL Says:

Sorry autocorrect made mikee into “Mike’s.”

I’m holding out for a 30 magazine clip.

It actually seems like a novel idea. Much more so than having your flashlight or other accessory down there. You’d lose your flashlight during a magazine change.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
