“Journalism”

The Paper of Making Up The Record:

The analysis was published by The Trace, a nonprofit news organization focused on gun violence. It found that cases of road rage involving a firearm where someone brandished a gun or fired one at a driver or passenger more than doubled to 620 in 2016, from 247 in 2014.

Sure, they are.

And Newsweek:

TRUMPS PROPOSED TAX PLAN COULD COST THE GOVERNMENT $6 TRILLION.

Uhm, do you guys know what “cost” means?

“…do you guys know what “cost” means?”

The only way it makes sense is if you assume all wealth to be owned by the government. Anything they don’t end up with is therefore “cost”.

But all of that is a ruse. They know that a lower tax results in increased economic activity and thus to an increase in tax revenue. Their problem is the increased economic activity part.

Among the many “problems” associated with a thriving economy is that fewer people on the doll means more independent people, which means fewer Democrat/Progressive/Marxists. They need poverty and angst, scarcity, fear and want. They cannot “afford” to unleash the American people by removing the tax and regulatory barriers to self sufficiency.

Once again you call them stupid. I say they’re doing a superb job with what they have. They can’t be too open in admitting their intentions and motivations, so what else is left? Right now they’re going with “tax rate cuts ‘cost’ the government”.

Do you have a better lie? What else is left besides openly going on the attack against human life? Maybe they can come up with something else first, and then it’s on to the direct and open attack.

    “Newsweek” is still in print??

“Newsweek” aren’t they all socialists now? How do they make money?

Newsweek – for use when Time Magazine, another dead news source, doesn’t fit the narrative well enough.

The Trace does not differentiate the gun brandishing and shootings as defensive versus criminally violent, so I find their stats meaningless. If 600+ people used their car gun to stop a road rager from attacking them, I’m all for more guns in people’s cars. The very idea that defensive gun use is legitimate, legal and socially responsible is never even considered, much less discussed, let alone statistically analyzed.

Today’s “liberals” need to renounce one of their political icons:

The paradoxical truth is that the tax rates are too high today and tax revenues are too low and the soundest way to raise revenues in the long run is to cut rates now.” –John F. Kennedy, 1962

But it is they who have morphed into leftists and authoritarians who believe they should control our money–and
    us.

Ron, right you are; time to get back to the left side of the Laffer Curve.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
