If one really sings to you, buy it, but you’re kidding yourself if you think there are vast differences in performance waiting to be unlocked in one versus another.

Except for STI guns. Those really are vastly different. Seriously. Try one. It will change your shooting life.

I don’t keep up; my wonder-nine is a 20 year old Witness CZ-75 clone.
But I did just get an M&P Compact .22 as a trail gun, and I am most impressed so far.
If I ever go the carry route, I am considering the 9mm version, for consistency.
But equally in the spirit of the post, if there was a Glock compact .22 in that size/weight range I’d have been happy with one of those, too.
