Life in the future

EVERYTHING IS FUCKED AND IM PRETTY SURE ITS THE INTERNETS FAULT:

The internet, in the end, was not designed to give people the information they need. It gives people the information they want.

Internet echo chambers all the way down.

The future is stupid.

A group of Marxist law majors and professors (but I repeat myself) at the University of Chicago wrote a piece entitled, IIRC, The Daily Me complaining about this very thing. I wrote them and told them they could go stuff themselves. I don’t need anyone else to decide what I “need” to know.

I remember a few years ago, President Obama spoke to some college grads. He warned them that the Internet had too much information and opinion which would only confuse them.

The present ain’t looking too good, either.

The internet requires the development of a refined critical sense. Sadly, most education these days is designed to impair the critical, and common, sense.

The fading of the critical sense is a serious menace to the preservation of our civilization. It makes it easy for quacks to fool the people. It is remarkable that the educated strata are more gullible than the less educated. The most enthusiastic supporters of Marxism, Nazism, and Fascism were the intellectuals, not the boors. The intellectuals were never keen enough to see the manifest contradictions of their creeds.

That’d be the Web that gives you all the nifty info. The Intertubes is just a collection of low level software protocols and hardware that transports the lies…

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
