In the senate, by John Cornyn. This will be interesting to watch. Place your bets on it getting passed.

    Yay, Texas! Senator Cornyn has been pretty weak tea as an eGOP member, but maybe he has seen the light. Of course, let’s see what poison pills are amended to this bill, and if he can get more cosigners, to get it out of committee.

    Like Obamacare and abortion, there’s just too much money to be made fundraising off the “fight” for a victory to be allowed.

    @wizardpc: truth

    They can force it through the Senate. There will be ample ways to do it this year – plenty of amendments on money bills that won’t be subject to filibuster. It happens every session, but this one will spend more money so therefore will have more opportunities. I’d bet solid money that reciprocity will not be any of those opportunities.

    Like you said, there’s just too much money to made fundraising off a “blocked” bill for them to let it pass.

    The GOPe thinks we’re stupid. When they play the game again this time, we’re not going to cheer the way we have in the past. We’re going to call them on it, and hammer them. No more games. They need to protect our civil rights, right now.

    Because we want our yellow Star of David arm bands to be recognized nationwide, now, damn it.

  5. Billll Says:

    No way this year. Possibly next year.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
