That cop really didn’t want to shoot that guy. But he likely should have done it sooner.

For the Deputy’s own good, the sheriff would be doing him a favor by firing him. He just doesn’t have the right mindset. He was fired at by least five rounds before returning fire.

Yes I agree.. and I think that Deputy should have got his SHOTGUN or AR once he went on the guys land…

All I can say is the Deputy should say his prayers thanking God for this bad guy shooting at him with birds shot and not Lehigh Defense Judge Extreme expansion or Federal Premium 410 3″000 buckshot rounds!!!

I agree with divemedic, he should look for other employment. He’s obviously not cut out for this.

Needs to be fired. Also – pattern the Judge at even 10 yards, with a rifled barrel even 000 buck is useless unless you are lucky. Overall a terrible gun for self defense. We do not even allow them on our range with shotgun shells when running live fire training for a class. With the Lehigh defense it would be effective, if you could hit anything with it. Carry it with 45 LC or leave it in the ‘curiosity at the range’ category for ooohs and ahhhs.
As for tactics, if I were entering the land on that kind of call, I would have the AR with me. And certainly after he shoots at the car the 1st time, he would be neutralized.

Have to agree the judge is a FUN GUN but never forget it’s a GUN. 45LC is a killer and even a bit past bad breath range. I am glad for the Deputy this guy had shot instead in his oooo aaah gun. I still would not want to get hit with a few shots ever #7 bird. Makes for a bad day and soft tissue oweees that can change the outcome of a fight. Not #1 for self defense but mistake any gun for not dangerous… mistake
