The Republicans are making an effort on guns

Hearing protection act in the works. Rubio wanting to restore gun rights in DC. And, now, a bill to allow the reimportation and sale of M1 Carbines loaned to South Korea.

When I was a teen in the 1970s, my dad and I were visiting a pawnshop once, looking for some inexpensive tools, when he pointed out to me a wooden barrel jammed full of M1 carbines. The guns were milsurp, pretty rough looking, and about $50 each, IIRC.

He offered to buy me one, but I had never owned nor even fired a gun and said no thanks.

I regret a lot of things done and not done in my youth.
This decision is one of the undone things I regret.

RAH, you know that if this does pass and is signed into law, a pliable judge will be found to slap an injunction on it and it will have to be fought all the way to SCOTUS.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
