Surprised it hasn’t happened yet

ISIS Calls for Random Knife Attacks in Alleys, Forests, Beaches, ‘Quiet Neighborhoods’

Honestly, I’m surprised that, in the US, there haven’t been more of these types of attacks in smaller towns. I mean, that’s how you’d freak everyone out.

  1. SPQR Says:

When they occur, the FBI and Obama dutifully say that there is “no evidence” of any terrorist motive.

  2. fred Says:

I’ve been saying this since 9/11. My theory was always that a blown up post office in a town of 500 people along with a blown up Wal-mart in a town of 3,000 people and a blown up school bus in a town of 5,000 all in areas in the middle of the country (TN, IA, WY) and away from major cities would terrify the snot out of people who figure they live x number of miles from NYC, Chicago, LA, etc so they are safe.

  3. Old NFO Says:

Or they would get very dead, especially in ‘my’ small town…

  4. uscitizen Says:

Perhaps the would-be perpetrators realize they would be immediately shot to death be ‘small-town’ people with guns if they tried that shit.

The possibility of getting shot to death has stalled many of my plans.

  5. uscitizen Says:

  6. Ron W Says:

I suppose if people defended themselves successfully against Muslim jihadists, the DOJ would come in to investigate discrimination and civil rights violations, plus more gun control.

  7. wizardpc Says:

Death is not a deterrent. It is a goal. You can’t be a martyr if you live through it.

Saying “they won’t do that here because they’ll get shot” is just as exactly the same as saying “20 year old men will stay away from brothels because they’ll get blow jobs.”

  8. chiefjaybob Says:

I disagree. The point of a terrorist attack is to scare the shit out of far more people than you maim or kill. If a jihadi were to attck a Walmart in a town of 10,000, it would only be effective in the surrounding area. Think about it: how many people moved out of tornado alley after Joplin, MO got spanked? Now picture a suicide bomber going to work there. Would the 23,000,000 people in the New York metro area be terrified? Not as many as if some asshole popped a pressure-cooker bomb in Boston…..

  9. CMonster556 Says:

The forests are full of people carrying firearms. Bring it.

  10. treefroggy Says:

Death may not be a deterrent , but failure AND death might be . There also isn’t a lot of anonymity in small towns . “They” might be noticed .

  11. Michael Says:

To me, the most effective tactic would be random snipers. The DC snipers instilled a lot of fear (and were Islamic extremists, too). Low cost, easy to do. Really surprised that hasn’t been replicated.

  12. Heck Says:

If there was ever a reason to carry, we live in the time of situational awareness. I hope it never happens. Remember your six.

  13. JTC Says:

What makes you think they don’t?

You sure as hell wouldn’t hear about in the lamestream.

Unless you shot the fucker, then all hell breaks loose.

You murdered that poor immigrant with GUN VIOLENCE!

  14. Fred Says:

It’s coming. If you’re not reading GoV and Vlad Tepes and tundra tabloids than you’re already losing the coming war.

And I thought I was Fred. Hmm, I better look into this.

  15. Crawler Says:

The population in Beslan, Russia back in 2004 was only around 35,000 when 186 children and 147 young and old adults were massacred by 32 subhuman islamo-savages.

The cowardly followers of the sharia political sect know easy targets produce media headlines. It doesn’t matter where the innocent slain reside.

  16. Ron W Says:

“The cowardly followers of the sharia political sect know easy targets produce media headlines. It doesn’t matter where the innocent slain reside.” –Crawler

Yes, and worse than those “cowardly followers” are those in our government who are actively making it possible and facilitating them coming here.

  17. RAH Says:

Problem is that in small town people know each other Strangers stand out and are watched. It is harder to infiltrate into small towns and neighborhoods.

I recall a young man wearing a do rag was walking the road in my neighborhood and was noticed immediately as a stranger . My son’s friend said they thought he was dealing drugs as a reason for him to be there.

Turns out he was fleeing from a robbery where he shot at someone. That afternoon every cop in the county was called out in their private cars on a Sunday and constant helicopter over head hunting that person.
I live on a peninsula. He was trying to hide out in out buildings and kept getting flush out by property owners. Finally they found him and he was arrested the next day

Neighborhoods are not as easy to infiltrate is the lesson

  18. Ron W Says:

@RAH, our “leaders” like Obama and Clinton wouldn’t approve of such “xenophobic” and “nativist” behavior.

  19. RAH Says:

    @Ron,

Well, we really do not care what Obama or Hillary think. My property , my neighborhood. Yep I am possessive and intend to stay that way.

I have deep woods and during the summer can not see the neighbors next door. We have our privacy. Intruders and strangers are not welcome.
Even Google satellite does not see that much

  20. Ron W Says:

@RAH, I’m with you. The following quote fits Obsma and Clinton well:

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

  21. Lyle Says:

Suicide killers are not easy to come by, and they are by definition a one-use commodity. If the goal is maximum numbers killed by one suicide, then concentrated populations are the place to be. You put one Johnnie Jihad douchebag out in the sticks where most of us carry guns, know how to use them, and know how to hunt, and at most he’ll get one or two people before he gets his due.

Put him in some fuckwit Democrat-held city where good people don’t carry guns and can’t function in the face of danger other than to jam up the dispatch lines by calling 911, and he’ll be able kill and kill until he gets bored with it.

  22. Ron W Says:

@Lyle, I agree, but for some reason, it’s been reported that Obama is seeding Muslim refugees into small cities, towns and communities around the country. In that ISIS has and is determined to infiltrate that group, it seems he’s trying to avoid putting them in the big cities.

It would seem he could take in some here, in his big house, after he leaves office:

    http://www.marketwatch.com/story/heres-the-house-obama-will-live-in-after-he-moves-out-of-the-white-house-2016-05-25

But then, why do I think he’s not gonna be doing what he imposes on others?

  23. RAH Says:

    Lyle,

Obama is using the tactic to dilute political influence and reduce the power of local government Same as his DOJ dictating local police areas that suffer from riots he incited to DOJ new plans.

He is getting rid or reducing their effectiveness of local police so only the police of Homeland Security is left. He is working at enacting a police state and his actions indicated that.

  24. RAH Says:

However Obama has overreached and the police have now figured Obama and Clinton are not on their side and a solidly Democratic voting block is going to vote for Trump

  25. Heath J Says:

Not so much worried about random assholes with knives. When they figure out a weekly Beslan style attack is effective… Not even worth contemplating.

  26. mariner Says:

    Heath J,

I suspect that shortly after they figure that out mosques will start going up in smoke.

  27. Ted Says:

Maybe they’re dressing up as clowns.

  28. Alien Says:

Referencing RAH’s comments above, I’ve heard that in addition to densely wooded areas, people in rural environments also have backhoes in abundance.

  29. Ron W Says:

@Alien, or even worse. Much worse for jihadis, instead of the backhoe, feed’em to the pigs. Seems that eventuality may be a deterrent to such determined martyrs.

  30. Lyle Says:

“…feed’em to the pigs. Seems that eventuality may be a deterrent to such determined martyrs.”

Only if you get it on video and post it for the others to see, but I like the idea. Show the remains of a jihadi coming out the south end of a pig. That’ll keep the stupid fuckers sequestered within the Democrat/Progressive-held territories where they’re openly tolerated and even welcomed.

I also agree that the Obama mentality is to dilute America (or more importantly, American Principles) to a point where it collapses. Obama, however, fails to understand the power of truth, reason and justice; concepts he’s never known.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
