Hope and change.

  1. Thirdpower Says:

    He was willfully ignorant ‘then’:
“I thought Obama, like everyone else, was going to be a reformer. He had criticized the surveillance prior,” Stone told THR. ”

    and remains willfully ignorant now:
“He continued, “Obama has managed to put together the most intensive surveillance state in the history of the world. This is pretty frightening when you think about the implications. In the hands of the wrong president, it’s very dangerous what we’re doing.”

Who did you vote for, Oliver? Based on what criteria? Because he was well spoken? Nice pants creases? Voting record in the IL senate? Nope. You bought the line of shit your media complex sold you. Tell me, Oliver: who are you going to vote for this year? Hollywood can DIAF.

  3. Ritchie Says:

I was once told by someone who knew someone “in the know” (right!) that the movie “Enemy of the State” was not so much fabrication as exaggeration. Now maybe the same may be so of the TV series “Person of Interest.”

“We are being watched by a machine….I know because I built it.”

  4. Ron W Says:

“Useful idiots” thought this guy was a liberal–twice!

  5. Jerry The Geek Says:

This is now what I expected Obama’s “The Most Transparent Administration In History” would look like.

I thought (foolishly, I now realize) that the transparency would be on HIS part, not on OUR part.

  6. dittybopper Says:

You are correct Ritchie. It was exaggeration back then, but not much of one. Today, everything you see in that film is doable. Even the live overhead video, just with drones instead of satellites.

The year 1998 was very prophetic in terms of Hollywood films: Enemy of the State and The Siege.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
