Then what?

They never think beyond the initial goal. Us saying “no” never occurs to them.

    Maybe they should consider, “Hell no” in their plans.

    Maybe they should consider that “no” might come in the form of “BANG”. Without _any_ prior notice, given how many times they’ve already been told NO.

  3. mikee Says:

    Of course the progs think beyond the first step of gun confiscation (getting elected). Otherwise, their demonization of legal gun ownership wouldn’t make much sense.

    By “othering” legal gun owners and conflating legal gun ownership with criminal misuse of guns and the insane likes of the Colorado shooter and the Newtown shooter, the left is preparing the battlespace, so to speak, for the enactment of confiscatory laws.

    By the time the confiscation laws pass, gun owners will be as reviled by at least half the public as people who puff cigars at asthmatic infants in elevators.

    Thus the need to defend both gun owners, all types of firearms, and groups like the NRA and GOA and Appleseed and other pro-gun-rights groups, publicly and often, from the slanders and lies of the left. If we can keep the public recognizing that guns save lives that deserve saving, the confiscations will never come to pass.

  4. Heck Says:

    The .Gov doesn’t have to confiscate your gun like in Australia to make your gun inactive. They can just pass a law or series of laws that put you in jail and take your home and freedom from you if you use a gun for any reason including self defense. If/when they take away the 1st and 2nd Amendments what makes you think that any Amendment protects you?

    Do you really think the military will go door to door with metal detectors to take your guns? It won’t happen that way. You will be given time to turn in your guns. If you don’t, they will wait for you to use them. Then you are fucked.

  5. Akatsukami Says:

    In that case, anti-gun politicians and advocates may briefly be shocked at how they are used.

    @Heck

    Yep. Attrition. Complete with press release about what a nutjob the person was, and making sure to mention anything embarrassing they might have come across while ransacking his/her home. And we will all cheer that a Dangerous Wingnut was taken off the streets for our own Safety.

  7. Chris M Says:

    Quote from the article: “It would be devastating for the country if Donald Trump won, and it would be devastating for the anti-gun-violence movement. But we would be on a long list of progressive causes that would be shattered by a Trump win.”

    I don’t consider myself a Trump supporter, but that, right there, is the best sales pitch I’ve heard supporting him.

  8. Ron W Says:

    @Chris M,

    And Hillary Clinton has extolled “Australian-style” gun control which is MANDATORY gun buy back CONFISCATION, after which non compliant “deplorables” would be criminalized into instant felons.

  9. SDN Says:

    Then now is the time to use them. We know what they will do; why wait for them to do it?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
