In election news

Angela Corey, who is a horrible person, lost her re-election bid. You’ll remember her from her hit of prosecuting George Zimmerman.

John McCain handily won re-election. Arizona, WTF is wrong with you? So much for the anti-incumbent Trump bump.

Bizarrely, his primary opponent Kelli Ward decided to hit him last minute on his age. Because voters can’t imagine themselves getting old, I suppose. Also, in the last interview before the election I saw (from MSNBC 5 days ago available on YouTube), she avoided every question asked of her. I had my absentee ballot with her circle filled in ready to drop off, but couldn’t bring myself to do it.

    Sorry everyone.

McCain had 3 opponents. One of these was ALSO running for US Congress (WTF). I looked up the opponent who had the best chance of beating him and voted for her. Combined, they still didn’t have enough to beat him. I am terribly dismayed by this outcome. Incumbency is unfortunately too powerful to overcome unless they seriously, directly, and publicly screw their constituents.

  3. Some Jerkoff Says:

State-wide elections are determined by Maricopa county (Phoenix). Ask them WTF. The rest of us are pretty much ABM.

  4. Veeshir Says:

I can’t figure that out either.
He and Jeff Flake would be fine in NY, but what happened?

At least I got the chance to vote against him.

  5. Erik Says:

First there has to be someone running against him. There wasn’t. Second, he’s been there long enough that he probably knows everyone innArizona by name.

Surely even a blind monk would realize you don’t attack age in a retirement state. Empty suit.

  6. Kevin Baker Says:

He had more than one opponent.

Not one of his opponents was worth a shit. I voted for Ward, not that it had any effect on the outcome.

Looks like I’ll be voting for his Democrat opposition come November. Not that there’ll be much difference between them.

  7. Deadcenter Says:

I live in Arizona and while I might piss on him if he was on fire, that’s a decision I’d rather not have to make. He went trump on her by linking her to some chem-trail study funding and labeling her chem-trail kelli.

  8. Hartley Says:

I lived in AZ for 36 years, still have an address there. From my email inbox, it appears that McCain had access to the Republican party mailing list and the others did not (or, he used it and they didn’t).

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
