Clinton said she wants to shut down non-compliant gun dealers

So says The Daily Caller. This turns out to be about 1 in 3 gun dealers. Non-compliance with ATF regulations and paperwork is the most common reason a dealer is out of compliance. Checking the wrong box, I suppose.

Also, from that article, looks like ATF inspections are up since Obama took office.

    In other news:
The Clinton Foundation sees a spike in donation from 5% of gun dealers. All charges dripped.

  2. JTC Says:

This is prep work for shutting down a different kind of “non-compliant gun dealer”…like every one of us who engages in a private sale.

ATF has already been instructed by EO to reinterpret regs such that even one private sale can be defined as a dealer. And if you are unlicensed you are non-compliant, pretty slick.

Make no mistake; while they definitely want to harm the manufacturers and retailers, their main target is the end user and the gunnie community itself by making criminals out of every one of us, shutting down gun shows, collector exchanges, gifts to family, and all those other annoying “loopholes”.

If you were an ATF agent, who would you rather go after, a well-armed, murderous Mexican drug cartel running AR-15s across the border, or a 55 year old diabetic who sold his two old revolvers on gunbroker.com last week?

Job security also applies to not getting shot at.

  4. Linoge Says:

From what I remember about being behind the counter, a single typo constitutes “non-compliance” in the BATFE’s eyes.

Just another wonderful example of the intended consequences of a “zero tolerance” society.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
