A look at handgun stopping power

Via Joe, comes this interesting read that compiles data from different shootings. It lists shots on target, caliber, one shot stop numbers, and other info. It’s worth the read.

Obviously, the 9mm is the best because it was used to shoot the most people.

Trolling aside, just looking at the break down of rifle and shotgun numbers says a lot about handgun effectiveness.

I posted a link here to that same article last week. It was on a different webpage though.

You forgot to say that you are using the wrong caliber, your gun sucks, and you are holding it wrong.

    John, Thank-you for the spreadsheet!

NotClauswitz, no problem. I wanted it for myself and figured sharing would be good.

Publius, whatever happened to HK’s “You suck and they hate you?”

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
