Unpossible

Chicago is a gun banners wet dream in terms of gun control. Yet the homicide rate for blacks is surging.

No biggie. Democrats will just replace them with Mexicans (illegals) as a voting block. So why should they care?

Homicides usually surge in the summer in Chicago, as more people (potential victims as well as predators) are out late at night avoiding the heat of day, and the predatory gangs experience competition for territories.

Oddly enough, winter is more an “indoor sports” time in Chicago.

That said, what could possibly going on to cause more gang violence? Drug/vice/protection rackets experiencing some kind of shake-up? Police going Ferguson Effect on the bad neighborhoods? Opportunistic crimes based on nationwide racial unrest stirred up by Obama?

Could be any of them, all of them, or even something completely different.

Chicago, being in Cook County, has petty offense level restrictions on the possession of over-10 magazines, scary rifles, and NFA weapons. Otherwise,
    1) You cannot carry on your person or in your automobile in public (unless encased, unloaded, blah, blah) if you do not have a CCW;
    2) You can possess and carry in your home, own land or fixed place of business even if you do not have a CCW.
    3) Registration has been repealed.

If that’s a gun-banner’s wet dream, I wish them happy dreaming.

(There’s a state-wide FOID requirement but it’s $5.00 shall issue to anyone not a felon, addict, or mentally ill. Parents have gotten them for their toddlers.)

    Regionalists!

These deaths only count for the leftist political agenda if there is a confrontation with LEO or a non-minority citizen using a firearm in self defense. Otherwise they are completely expendable and to be ignored by the elite ruling class.

    Q: Who is Rahm Emanuel?

A: Nobody. He doesn’t exist in the media, at least not in relation to Chicago’s murder rate, therefore he doesn’t exist. Chicago’s homicide problem must therefore be somebody else’s problem. Perhaps the hapless police chief there, or some unspecified other person.

Don’t know why y’all are chatting about guns in relation to the violence, whether in Chitown (the numbers make it leap out at you) or to a lesser and even more opaque, a city near you.

It’s not the tools, we know that. So we latch onto their narrative to refute, yet we’re still debating their narrative, and what was it Barnum and Trump say about all publicity being good?

And nothing has changed from gangs of a hundred years ago except the product and the color of the thugs. Man, we learn hard don’t we? Legalize the booze (I mean the dope) and the gangs and the killings start melting away overnight. I won’t reiterate the underlying reasons for that because I’ve said it ’til I’m sick of it; everybody with half a brain and is honest about it (right) already knows anyway, they just won’t admit, whether for their law ‘n order and evangelical righty reasons or their completely disingenuous, surreptitious, blood-dancing lefty agenda reasons.

All of which is to say, it ain’t gonna happen. Somebody said the increase is unexplained but of course the economy and prospects of improvement of the lives of lower middle class city dwellers makes the easy money muling or retailing a no-brainer, which is good because of course these folks increasingly and genetically are not overly endowed with smarts.

Then the more who enter the trade the more competition like any biz, and they deal with territory issues by trying to eliminate it. The tools might have evolved from Colts, Smitty wheel guns and Tommy’s to Hi-Points, G-locks and AK clones, but again that’s just the tools; if they had to do it with Molotovs and blades they would.

So the uptick in their version of business disruption will continue as the demand (let’s don’t get started on the underlying issues there) for gray market products increases in spite of -maybe even increased more because of- its legality. Hey, they’re just trying to protect their market share and margins.

While all of that is true, none of it addresses this: as the deluge of immigration continues and increases and as that dilutes the voter pool (courts yesterday: Not a citizen? Illegal alien? Pfft. We want your vote!), the activities of our quasi-aboriginal “people of color” are Sesame Street stuff compared to where we might be four or eight years from now. You ain’t seen nothing yet.

All the good communists are crossing their eyes and having a brainfart at this.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
