I, personally, know a Japanese man whose Kendo instructor stopped an armed robbery of a restaurant using chopsticks. To the neck of the robber. Fatally.
Like any other tool, chopsticks can be used for good or evil.

This brought to mind the comment by the Russian Mafia leader in the movie “John Wick” about having watched him kill 3 men in a bar with a pencil.
Which just reminded me of the time a woman tried to stab me with a pencil. A roommate’s visitor, with mental problems, apparently. She was unsuccessful.
The full story:
When I objected to her actions which were keeping me awake, she grabbed an object from the kitchen counter and attempted to stab me in the torso with a fast step and lunge. The location of the object, and poor lighting, had me concluding it was a knife. I employed a judo technique that ends with amplifying their forward movement past you. This was successful in overrunning her feet, and she impacted the side of an overstuffed chair in the living room with her head, which apparently stunned her for a few seconds. I made a quick retreat to my bedroom. Pre-cell phone era, and no phone in my room. About midnight, on a Sunday.
Someone called 911, and two officers came to the door. I explained the situation. We discovered a pencil in the middle of a pool of blood in the dining room. Nothing at the chair location. Seems she did a faceplant by trying to move too soon. Meanwhile, she was in the street screaming at some other officers. They took her in on a 5150.
BTW, my original objection to her was her lying on the phone to the police about her son and the divorced father, and being very loud during it. This revelation displeased the officers a bit.
