Note that the “Office of Homeland Security” here is not the Federal Department of Homeland Security.
It’s a Dupahe County institution.
It’s even more a mystery why they’d be involved than if it was DHS, which might have a legitimate-ish Immigration-related role, potentially.
Maybe they were just really not very busy?
I mean, it’s not like you can actively fight terror or prepare for emergencies all that much just West of Chicago…?

Hey, if I was an underpaid security professional working for a county Homeland Security operation, I’d much rather go undercover within the local massage parlors than at the local radical Islamic mosque! Who wouldn’t?
