Send in the clowns?

Bono: send Amy Schumer and Chris Rock to fight Islamic State.

I concur with the former. I am curious, though, what qualifies Bono to be taken remotely seriously on this issue. It’s clear he’s not that bright.

Bono suggested the comedians would lift spirits and make muslims less likely to, ya know…blow themselves and everyone around them up. He wasn’t thinking the way we do about these things.

Bono was arguing that the US needs to send money because Europe is facing the, “greatest threat it has had in several generations.”

Again…not thinking like us. He thinks Angela Merkel deserves a Nobel Prize for taking in all those upstanding Syrian fighters…err, “refugees”.

So basically in his view it’s not the role of the US to stop foreign nations from doing bad/dumb things, but it is our role to step in and bail them out when they do. And then put on a show to make them all feel better.

I say Bono does a concert in the Islamic State. I’ll put up some cash to make it happen.

They would not be amused by Schumer and Rock. Guess how I know this, because blowing people up is what amuses them. Duh.

Doesn’t he have a private island? Why can’t he house some there?

  4. Phelps Says:

It’s a fantastic idea. Have Bono fly the plane, and shove Bruce Springsteen and Brian Adams on it too. And Kayne West.

Anyone else we want to have ISIS murder for us?

  5. RCCJr Says:

Considering the intellectual prowess and political bent of those folks, sure they should throw several benefit performance in ISIS controller territories.

The dude can turn the least words into a lot of money. Somehow, I think this is related.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
