I’m a gun owner but . . .

Pro gun people for Hillary? From a person who wants to carry a .380:

I think everybody that’s buying these big, high-powered rifles nowadays,” she said, “what do you need that for?

None of your damned business.

It’s an acceptable question for one’s own curiosity or information, but that’s it? Since the government is RESTRICTED by delegated powers, it has NO business asking the question.

  2. chiefjaybob Says:

What is it with these assholes and deciding what others “need”? No one “needs” an assault rifle. No one “needs” more than three guns (or 4 or 6 or 45). No one “needs” that much ammunition.

“Need” has nothing to do with it. If we only had what we “needed” we’d still be living in log homes. Caves, even.

    STFU and go away.

  3. Mr Evilwrench Says:

I dunno, maybe I’ll need it to discourage hitlery’s minions when they try to come take it away. Along with all the pistols. Like .380s.

  4. MrSatyre Says:

I agree, it’s no one’s business. But I do like to watch them squirm when I tell them I want them for the same reason the police and the military want them: to protect myself from the same bad guys they want to protect themselves from. Then I ask them why they think it’s okay for them to be able to protect themselves, but I’m not allowed to.

  5. Fred Says:

What do I need it for you ask? Why, tyrants of course. Oh, and those who don’t know what they are for and end up following the orders of tyrants.

  6. Ron W Says:

MrSatyre, I suppose it could possibly be reasoned that the police and military “needs” them more or more often. But ask them why the ruling elite class who are OUR EMPLOYEES need them but want to take them from us? Why do they EXEMPT THEMSELVES from the “common sense” gun laws they impose on us?

  7. Ron W Says:

    Well said, Fred!

  8. Sigivald Says:

They think an AR-15 is “high powered”.

So maybe I shouldn’t take their credentials as a “gun person” too seriously.

(Same question I’d ask anyone else saying that: Why do cops need ’em, then?

Peel’s principles, all the way down.)

  9. DaveP. Says:

I remember actually hearing a radio ad by “Sportsmen for Obama”, complete with “Why, we don’t want to take your guns! That’s just crazy talk…” verbiage. In this great world of ours, you can find at least a few fools to espouse literally ANY cause… and at least a few fools who will believe them.

  10. MJM Says:

Democrats with guns: yes, she would take them from you if she could. Stop voting stupid.

  11. Heath J Says:

If you have to ask… you probably won’t like or understand my answer.

  12. Ron W Says:

We do need gun control, properly applied:

“It is ironic that the proliferation of guns in the hands of the bureaucrats is pushed by the antigun fanatics who hate the Second Amendment and would disarm every law-abiding American citizen,” Yes, we need gun control. We need to disarm our bureaucrats, then abolish the agencies. If government bureaucrats like guns that much, let them seek work with the NRA.”

“Force and intimidation are the tools of tyrants. Intimidation with government guns, the threat of imprisonment, and the fear of harassment by government agents puts fear into the hearts of millions of Americans.”–Ron Paul, former Congressman, R-TX
