When you drain the swamp, you may well find yourself knee-deep in alligators. Apparently clearing the lion hunters out of Zimbabwe has a similar effect.

Can’ the excess lions be shipped to a Dollar Store for clearance sale, like any other excess inventory?
Will there be a sudden surge in lion skin rugs on the market, or is that not a polite question to ask?
Can’t a deal be worked out with the Masai in a neighboring country, for some quick tourism/hungint? I recall there is a tradition of hunting lions among their young males.

I believe the hulla baloo over Cecil was that he was in a sanctuary, illegally drawn out of the sanctuary and then killed.
