Thoughts on last night’s caucus

Cruz won. I was surprised. I figured it’d go to the clown show. Rubio did better than I thought.

The other establishment guys couldn’t even beat my guy. And they spent a ton of money. Jeb Bush beat me by fewer points than Cruz beat Trump.

60% of the Republican caucus went to minorities. 0% of Democrat votes went to minorities. Racists.

Hillary was up this time last year by all the points. And she barely squeaked out a win against a socialist. And even that win is questionable, since some votes were lost or whatever. And, of course, her beating the odds and winning 6 coin tosses. At least the Democrats are rigging their own elections now.

“No, no. Rich white women are a minority, and those ‘white hispanics’ aren’t.

    Because Democrat.”

  2. JK Brown Says:

Even if we ignore Hillary’s defiance of the odds, she still won by sheer dumb luck. Without the coin tosses, she lost by 2.

  3. Alien Says:

Maybe this will convince Bush to stop disposing of his campaign trash in my mailbox.

  4. harp1034 Says:

Bush has the money to go all the way to the convention. If he can’t be at the top of the ticket, he would be willing to settle for veep. Just like his daddy.

  5. JTC Says:

Whose veep? Give me a Reagan at the top of the ticket and I’d settle for anything at the bottom.

  6. Ron W Says:

JK, Trump with Hannity, just said he’d like to have that 6 for 6 coin.

  7. DaveP. Says:

Jeb is over as a politician, as a candidate, and as far as I’m concerned as a male. But I’m all in favor of him staying in the race as long as possible to burn through money and support that would otherwise go to Chuck Schumer’s favorite lil’ boy, Marco Rubio.

So hey- the obnoxious guy, who supported Democrats and had no prior political experience, showed up in Iowa and not only beat all the Establishment choices but came within four points of beating the Great Conservative Hope… all without a ground game.
Kinda makes you wonder if the GOP has been doing this whole “politics” thing wrong for all these years, huh?

I have never convinced myself that Iowa actually exists, so the caucus results don’t surprise me. What I wonder is what, exactly, one spends money on in Iowa to get votes (other than radio and TV and print ads that nobody notices)? A whole lotta cash went to somebody there for doing something, but who got it, exactly, and why?

I, for one, would love to have the $2800 per vote Jeb paid for there.

“At least the Democrats are rigging their own elections now.”

They always have. That’s the only way that they ever win.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
