The party of smaller government

Need to know. And you don’t need to know:

Last year, House Speaker Paul Ryan said he wanted the Republican-led House to come up with a response to Puerto Rico’s fiscal crisis during the first quarter of 2016.

They have to pass it so you can see what’s in it.

“Puerto Rico Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla has said his administration would seek to ensure that any such board would respect the island’s autonomy.”

Sure pal, anytime you go into receivership your autonomy is deeply respected and you remain completely independent as well. You’ll be fine.

I’ve got the solution. Give it back to Spain.

I have a ‘response’ we can give them.

Bye bye. Let Puerto Rico go. We don’t need it.

It isn’t a fiscal crisis, it is a bankruptcy. Failure to meet financial obligations by a government results in well-specified consequences, such as becoming Argentina-like in your inability to obtain loans and facing whatever penalties were included in the original unpaid financial arrangement.

Ryan should tell PR to solve it themselves; it would encourage all the other local and state overspending governments to rein themselves in a bit.

    Tell them “Well bye!”

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
