Good advice: Investing in metal

Buy ammo:

I have never, ever had anyone tell me that he had too much ammunition. Not in a combat zone, not in a civil disaster, not even in peacetime. Never. Nor have I lived through a time where our governing class was so deeply corrupt, so utterly foolish, and so dangerously focused on the perpetuation of its own power that it risked bringing down everything we have built not merely in the United States but in the entire West.

I once asked a guy if he had any 223 ammo. He said; “I have a whole pallet.” I said “that’s a lot of ammo.” And he said “not if someone’s shooting at you.”

22LR, same as cash, all day long.

The only time I’ve had too much ammunition was on takeoff. regards, Alemaster

Wasn’t it an F4 Phantom pilot who said that a heavily-laden, after-burner assisted take-off was the most dangerous part of any mission?

Too much ammo, too little fuel, and on fire.

  4. Mr Evilwrench Says:

On a forum, the question was asked: “What do you think is enough ammunition?” I just said “More”.

  5. RandyGC Says:

I’ve long said that there are only 2 situations where I might have too much ammo:

    1. Swimming

    2. On fire

While I agree, I also must say that if repairing the nation requires ammunition, then we have lost already. We have given the federal government the monopoly on violence, and we have all witnessed gun confiscation in Louisiana, so I for one will hold gold and silver as well as ammo, and hopefully post collapse some semblance of an economy will reward those that held their metals both projectile and coin.

  7. JTC Says:

@Blounttruth, in order to repair it we first have to survive, that’s where the lead, brass, and copper precious metals come in.

But being in the business of those and also silver and gold, I agree that hard money will be requisite to barter for supplies, as they have always been really.

But the most important of all is one I can’t sell to you; precious mettle…without which all the others will be useless.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
