Seems they misunderstood Brownells Dream Gun project.

If you can’t support your fans, who can you support?
I’m still undecided between the Shield and the 43. S&W needs to get hard in support of its fans if it wants to succeed.
Given the recent turn of events, I’m likely to lose my old steel .45 – Astra A-75, GI style, single stack, double-action and get a Glock single stack. Lots of companies can make a 9mm, but how many make a +P .45 ACP that works? Glock can, but how about all the others?

Horse manure, a misunderstanding. This has the signs of a new corporate counsel at S&W who incompetently overreached.

I have a stainless, out of the box stock, Colt series 80 government model that digested Remington 185 grain jacketed hollow point +P to point of aim, without a hiccup from the time I bought it in1989, until supply forced me to switch to golden sabre of the same specs. It runs on those just fine too.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
