Hyperbole much?

The Daily Star brings the hysteria:

The elite troops will also be equipped with a new arsenal of deadly weapons, tried and tested by the US special forces.

Special soft-nose bullets designed to drop Jihadis on the spot will be issued to the crack force in the next few weeks.

The bullets, described as the most lethal ever made, are manufactured by a Swiss arms company which makes ammunition for the special forces.

One of bullets hyper-expands and has a devastating effect on a human body by causing a massive hole and almost instant death.

Yeah they’re getting subsonic hollow points.

    Mucho hyperbole,

  2. Mike V. Says:

Unless they’re using them in SMGs, they’re going to be disappointed. There was a time that subsonic 9mm rounds were going to be The Next Great Thing until it happened they didn’t reliably expand in real world shootings. That was the beginning of the push toward +p and +p+ handgun rounds.

Sounds like a, um… what was that, real exotic, you’ve probably never heard of it… oh yeah, .45ACP. That’s the ticket.

“Another bullet being issued to the crack unit is designed to break up or fragment on impact also causing serious wounds to the victim.

The bullet is designed not to pass through a body and so lessen the risk of innocent civilians being killed or injured.”

They say this, as if it were A Bad Thing.

Simultaneously one of the saddest and most hilarious pieces of “journalism” I’ve ever read.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
