So, then we could sue car makers whenever someone drunk takes out a family of four?
Also, someone is circulating this photo showing CNN made the shooter look white. Given the source, unless I see the actual CNN piece, it’s hooey.

Given the imagination of lawyers, I expect just that sort of “function creep.”
The same argument is just as strong for holding alcoholic beverage manufacturers liable.
It is a strong argument that people who do not break the law under the influence of alcohol are nonetheless partly to blame for crimes and injuries caused by people under the influence.
This is because in part, their consumption, by encouraging production and economies of scale, brings the price down so that those who abuse alcohol and cause the crimes and injuries are more easily able to afford abusive amounts of alcohol.
Additionally, that “legal” consumption allows that low-priced alcohol to be sold at many more places, an unwarranted convenience for the abusers.
Anyone who does not agree with this is, of course, an insensitive clod, and a shill of the alcoholic beverage industry, who is numb to the death, mayhem, and loss caused by alcohol abuse.

I’m beginning to think the Stanley Steamer will never be back. And that’s a shame. Done in by the typhoid.

Maybe it will help the media agree to not immortalize these people by publishing their names and pictures if they are of darker skin or middle eastern sounding names. “Wait, the shooter is a black guy who converted to Islam? You know… Let’s not give him the infamy he’s looking for by showing his face and publishing his name.”
