Hey, how you guys doin? This is gonna suck

I’m currently drinking bourbon in anticipation of the clown show debate that will happen tonight. It might ensure that I hurl expletives at the TeeVee instead of objects. Predictions:

Fiorina is there to take out Trump. The smartest man in the room will be the woman.

Paul will get the least amount of airtime again. Because he’ll attack Trump again.

Bush will put me to sleep.

Christie will attempt to eat more freedom.

Carson will be the rock star.

Cruz and Rubio will continue to play long ball, waiting everyone else out.

What say you?

Trump will give an answer that is essentially word salad, the Establishment Media will decide that it was racist and sexist, and Trump will gain 4 points on it.

Glad I don’t have cable and don’t really care

  3. FiftycalTX Says:

You have Jeb!and the GOPe, Cruz and Trump. 598 people running for prezzie that will get 1 or 2 votes and Hillary or Sanders. Which is the least worst choice?

  4. Huck Says:

    I’m with you there Wizard.

And Phelps, the leftist propagandists are going to hammer all of them anyway just because of those (R)’s after their names.

I’m watching the screen saver. It’s more interesting than a bunch of clowns being essentially heckled by a gaggle of butt-ignorant play-actors and entertainers. Whoever thought that was a good idea? It smacks of a combination WWF /monster truck rally/daytime TV soap opera, but without the talent.

  6. Lyle Says:

The Apple TV screen saver has some really stunning nature photographs.

  7. Linoge Says:

    Why subject yourself to that?

As I suspected, CNN did its best to force a cage fight and mostly succeeded.

  9. Bram Says:

Did Trump really propose HIGHER taxes in a Republican debate? And he’s way ahead of Paul who wants a 14.5% flat tax? Did I dream that?

  10. Ben Says:

+1 for the Denis Leary reference

How I wish the entire clown troupe would have just answered every question by slamming Obama policies, Hillary corruption, and Biden idiocy.

That might have been worth watching. Clowns hitting each other with cream pies is amusing, but clowns hitting an important person with a cream pie is what I want.

  12. Ron W Says:

    Bram,

I prefer the “Fair Tax” which is a national sales tax, an “excise” tax as specified in the Constitution. Any income tax is a “slave tax” which is administrated by the government violating the 4th and 5th Amendments to get your personal information. But yes, at least the flat tax has everyone paying the same rate according to ” the equal protection of the laws” (14th Amendment) But then. I’m one of the “dangerous extremists” on the DHS list who expects that the President, Congress and SCOTUS shall OBEY the Constitution.

    BURN THE WITCH!!

The CNN crew did their best at spraying water into the mud pit to get the wrestlers good and dirty and some did take the bait.
Wasn’t as bad as I thought though. Then again, I too used adult beverages to lower my standards quite a lot.

  14. JTC Says:

    Ron W,

Unfortunately your misnomered “fair tax” preference conscripts every seller and provider of goods and services as defacto federal tax collectors with huge and onerous responsibilities and liabilities, on top of the huge and onerous load of crap already suffocating small business. And don’t think just retailers will suffer…whatever service, labor, component, or intellectual property you provide to earn a living will be subject to the collection, maintenance, remittance, and penalties inherent in this idea which on the face of it seems like a great “user fee” approach but is fatally flawed and subject to unavoidable corruption.

Fuck that, taxes may be as unavoidable as death, but let those who assess them justify them and administer. The flat tax Paul espouses (even the “tithe” version favored by Carson and Cruz) would bring in sufficient revenue to operate a properly administered Constitutional Republic, and elimination of all deductions and exemptions would make it possible for gov to administer the system with a tiny fraction of the bureaucracy employed today.

  15. Ron W Says:

    JTC,

Good point re: Fair Tax. Flat tax would be significant improvement over complex, convoluted system we have now. Sufficient revenue would be no problem IF, IF the Federal Goverment was constrained within its delegated powers from an objective reading of the Constitution. The Constitutional INDIRECT taxing, “imposts, duties, tariffs”has been mostly revoved by the so-called “free trade” agreements which are actually international tribunals for managed globalism. God Bless the Republic–death to the New World Order

What kind of bourbon? Right now, I have Buffalo Trace on the shelf, and I think it’s pretty damn good.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
