What would you do?

I’d mind my own fucking business. This world needs more of that.

There’s this horrible and despicable show show called What Would You Do? And it’s hosted by a despicable, repugnant asshat named John Quiones. In this show, they go about using actors to put regular people in various unusual situations and video their reactions. And it’s put on TV as grubby, sensationalist bullshit for the masses. Needless to say, in the unlikely event I make an appearance on an episode, it will end with me punching John Quiones right square in the nuts.

That said, this episode of some busy body, meddling soccer mom confronting a dad buying his son a gun had pro-gun reactions. Good.

Wow! Hope someone slaps the shit out of that assfuck!

  2. Shootin' Buddy Says:

Why did the gun store agree to do this?

  3. John Richardson Says:

I’ve watched bits and pieces of that show. I’m surprised none of the actors in some of their episodes has gotten punched out or even shot.

Aint that what most TV shows are anymore?

That show has had some interesting setups: a man acting more and more loudly abusive of a woman in a cafe, for example, or someone throwing racist epithets at a supposed stranger in a public place.

Generally the reactions are what one would expect: some aversion from the situation, some polite interactions to defuse a problem, some steadfast support for civility and safety.

In watching it, as a CHL with other family members present my first reaction would be to avoid a potentially dangerous/crazy person rather than jump in to an unknown situation. But in the past I have also verbally intervened to see if distressed people needed support, or safe removal from a problem situation, so I guess my response depends….

This one? Staged to allow safe intervention by strangers: the verbal aggressor was not a large rough looking male but a thin blonde woman, to begin with. So good production to make verbal reactions happen.

F*ck off c*nt! would be the nicest response I could possibly give.

ABC made sure to have a white guy, a black guy, and a Hispanic guy. Beans counted.

My wife and daughter wound up on an episode. They were out walking and came across a group of young men verbally abusing a “robust” women who was sitting on a bench with a box of donuts. They told the young men to grow up and move along and leave the woman alone. Started to get a little testy apparently so an editor came from the nearby van to put a stop to things.

Quiñones a a baiter but there have been memorable episodes where it has backfired. One I saw were a lesbian couple in a restaurant somewhere in the Deep South being berated by their server.

They were amazed, I tell you, amazed that people in the Restaurant told the server to flock off and leave the couple alone with their deep southern accents. I guess they figured Southerners were going to be assholes and join in the condemnation.

If he was looking for assholes, I guess he missed the one looking back in the mirror that morning.

Know how I knew it was a phoney from the git-go? She’s standing in a store full of death-creating eeevilllllle gunz and has not wet herself while falling to the floor in hysterics.

I’d also like to point out that nobody seems to care that she’s trying to keep the gun store from making money. I would be looking at the guy behind the counter and asking if he’s going to let her drive away a paying customer – figuring Dad can take care of himself.

    stay safe.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
