There is no grassroots

I felt kind of bad for the family saddled with the legal fees from the Brady lawsuit against Lucky Gunner. But, it turns out, the grieving family member is on the payroll of the Brady Bunch.

I didn’t feel bad for them to begin with, now I think they’re getting exactly what they deserve with the bill for legal fees the judge slapped them with…

The question I’d like answered is how long were Lonnie and Sandy Phillips active in the Brady Bunch?

Were they recruited by the Brady Bunch right after the low-life murdering coward in Aurora massacred the unarmed movie goers?

Or had they been on board and active prior?

It wouldn’t surprise me if Team Brady, implementing a “never let a crisis go to waste” action, recruited the grieving pair with future profits in mind from lawsuits.

I didn’t check the 990’s today, but last time I did Brady didn’t pay but a very few people. Everyone else is a volunteer. I highly doubt the Phillips family is getting any monetary compensation. I still feel bad for them. They lost a kid and are fighting like mad to make sense of it.

Don’t do what the lower-level people do or trivialize their work as treason wrapped in a candy-coated wrapper. They are not an ‘enemy’ – they are real people with real concerns. I have spent time talking with MAIG leaders at the state level and they believe what they say, and frankly I respect many of them for it. We get along quite well despite our disagreements.

My overall advice there is not to underestimate the people involved. The lower echelons have friends and family, and if we demonize them we just convert more people to their side.

The problem is I think that Gun Control Inc. leadership is working a cynical angle, and using the lower-level people for more than they bargained for.

I think that is what happened here. Unfortunately, the Phillips family is officially stuck with a bill that may or may not be paid by the Super-Friends of Gun Control. The longer this goes on, the more nervous others will be when cooperating with gun control.

If this goes sideways for the Phillips Family, we need to copy every document and article showing their plight and send it to any politician who takes their side. If Gun Control Inc cannot pay the bills for one of their own, where will they be when Candidate X needs a real lift?

OK, no edit button on Uncle’s site. So let me be clear:

Not a fan of Gun Control Inc. My point is that the people who volunteer for them do so for less-than-cynical reasons. They believe what they say, and they (in my experience) honestly think they are helping the world.

Attacking low-level volunteers goes nowhere. We need to attack the roots and the leadership. The folks who are dragged into the fold by leadership should receive our pity, not our anger. Especially when they lost a kid.

The Phillips must pay, if for no other reason than to demonstrate that those behind gun control use less than honorable means to achieve their ends.

When is the last time SAF or NRA left a plaintiff high and dry?

Never. And I am speaking as a plaintiff who was supported by one of those orgs. ‘Nuff said.

This would be a great opportunity for Bloomberg to lift his feet out of the slime and show some evidence of humanity!!!! It wasn’t his organization, but it was his compatriots.

You know down in my neck of the country, segregationists believed what they said too. It gives me not one ounce of respect for them or the despicable policies they advocated. The same goes for anyone one the side of bloomie and the bradys

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
