It’s good to dance with who brung ya:

Legislation that would allow handgun-carry permit holders to be armed in all of the state’s public parks is headed to the governor for his consideration.

    IF, IF, he is faithful to his oath of office, he must sign it. Because it is precisely pursuant to Article I, Section 26 of the Tennessee Constitution’s Declaration of Rights.

    “Locally, Knoxville Police Chief David Rausch was among officials who testified in Nashville against passage of the bill, arguing local authorities should be allowed to have discretion over local parks.”

    Yes, in many areas, but NOT in violation of Constitutional rights. Or else, what other rights should local authorities be able to violate?

    NONE!!!

    “Gov. Bill Haslam opposed the state Capitol provision and said there was some confusion in the original legislation about what should happen in the case of parks that are used by schools.”

    Any bets as to whether Haslam will use this to hang his veto on?

  4. Ron W Says:

    Oh, that’s right, rickn8or, school children are to be kept as unarmed victims in gun free zones.

  5. rickn8or Says:

    Ron W, well, gun-free zones have always worked so well before…

  6. Ron W Says:

    Yep, rickn8or, they provide a target rich environment for mass murderers so the ruling elite class has a bloody emotional pretext to disarm us.

  7. lucusloc Says:

    @Ron: isn’t that their intended purpose? They are an integral part of the web of control that protects the ruling elite. See, “safety”.

  8. Ron W Says:

    @lucusloc: Yep.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
