Now, I have to get a whole new caliber.

What’s nice is if you have 223 brass it’s pretty easy to convert to 300 blk. Just stay away from the import brass as it’s too thick in the neck once converted.

  2. Other Steve Says:

    Lol, 6.8 dead

  3. ben Says:

Other Steve, not even remotely true. I’ve been selling more 6.8 parts than ever.

  4. poobie Says:

Unc, you going to get a .30 can to go with it?

  5. SayUncle Says:

    yup

  6. Other Steve Says:

Ben, that could literally only be because no one else is bothering to. I’m with you though, sell it while you can! It’s a dead platform and just getting deader by the day.

On the other hand, I’m not sure I really believe you because this is the slowest the AR industry has been in 8 years. Could be correct, I don’t know when you started selling 6.8 parts 🙂

But seriously, just a heads up, 300blk isn’t going away. Quite the opposite here soon.

My 6.8 comments were tongue and cheek to Uncle who had put down 300blk in the past in favor of 6.8 and Bison’s support for it. It is dead tho.

  7. Mr Evilwrench Says:

Gorgeousness and gorgeosity. My 300 is the shit. My son is all hot and bothered over his 6.5 Grendel. I made sure to get reloading dies for both, and I’m collecting the parts. That 6.5 would be good for what, 500-800m? My 300 is for up close and personal, night vision, can and all. What I really like is the range of ammunition you can use, 110-220gr, supersonic to subsonic.

  8. Ben Says:

So, other steve, that’s why Noveske is selling 6.8 again after stopping eh? And ARP. And Rock River. And Stag. And LWRC. And LMT. And anyone not affiliated with Remington on account of they’re plugging the Blackout like their lives depend on it.

Where do you get your crap? Are you a natural nay-sayer or do you have to work at it?

  9. Ben Says:

Also, I know 300 BLK isn’t going away, that’s why I’m selling it, but I sell a heck of a lot more 6.8 than 300 BLK. NOTE TO STEVE: 6.8 is not going away either.

  10. aerodawg Says:

Neither cartridge is going away since they’re both optimized for different things. I’ve got a 6.8 that I really like for longer range work and am seriously considering 300 for an SBR I have in the works. The only thing slowing me down is the fact decent supersonic ammo is north of $1/round, the really good Barnes rounds are nearly $2/round and there’s essentially no cheap practice ammo.

I’ve never fired a BLK. And don’t recall ever putting it down. (checks archives to be sure). In fact, I mentioned wanting one.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
