Urban Carry Holsters

Saw these guys at the gun show last weekend. I only noticed them because they had a booth babe in a tank top when the temperature was in the lower 30s. And she was carrying four guns. Here’s their site.

Interesting concept but I’m not sure I like it. The gun goes into a leather bag and it is quite concealable. But it’s more cumbersome to draw. I suppose it would work well at concealment if you really needed to conceal a gun. Not sure how effectively I could draw it, particularly if I was under stress.

Thoughts?

It’s another way to deep conceal. And it seems faster than some other methods. Another tool in the tool box.

Seems like it would only deploy well from appendix carry, which hurts my nuts.

Looks really interesting. Deep, DEEP concealment. No printing at all. Probably a very slow draw.

If it means the difference between someone being armend and not being armed, I’d support it. If it’s a choice between someone choosing this versus another, more traditional holster, I’d say the traditional one is probably better.

Once upon a time I was involved in training a Sheriff’s Department’s mounted (volunteer) posse, I suggested that those that felt more comfortable carrying “Israeli style” with empty chambers should be allowed to do so. The Posse was allowed to carry at their option, and many of them didn’t feel safe with chambered Glocks, so the percentage carrying was low. I figured they’d be better better armed but slow to deploy than not armed at all. Some folks disagreed, but in the end the option was allowed.

Whatever you think of the holster, their marketing efforts would probably be better served no having models pointing guns at their wedding tackle with their finger on the trigger: http://i.imgur.com/mlnZYpv.jpg

it seems that the draw is inspired by the shirt-lifting that appendix carry folks do.

To hell with the holster commercial, you should have included a pic of the presentation babe.

It’s a hellofa lot better than purse carry.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
