Border Patrol M4s recalled

Putting agents who are not actually allowed to patrol the border at risk. I wonder which brand of M4 is getting pulled the most. I’m betting not the Colts.

  1. SPQR Says:

Yeah, it takes a specialist to change a firing pin

  2. Ed Says:

Actually, from what I’ve read, they are all Colts

  3. Bram Says:

When I was in the Army, the Colt M16s were the absolute worst. The FNs shot better and didn’t feel like you could shake them apart.

  4. Wyowanderer Says:

I was hoping SPQR would link this one:

  5. Pete Says:

Colts never did work well in a desert environment. They can’t tolerate sand.

*wipes tear of laughter from eye* Ah, internet gun derp. I do love it so.

Anyway, Unc, it’s nice of FOX to give credit to the blogger who broke the story. 😉

  7. Mike V. Says:

There is nothing (as has been pointed out) that can’t be replaced on an M4 in a few minutes. Heck you can build one in an afternoon from scratch.

  8. Critter Says:

I can build one in 45 minutes from the pins and springs. Sounds like they need more unit level armorer and fewer busy body bureaucrats.

  9. Kermit Says:

They’re ALL Colts, and they’re being deadlined for BS reasons.

    Caleb/GunNuts has more details.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
