They clearly wanted to see Dubya murdered, so their surprise makes sense in a projection sort of way. The difference that they fail, naturally, to perceive is that conservatives think about, and understand, causes and consequences (i.e. reality) as being separate from emotions. Since the Progressive movement is perpetrating the giant lie that says emotions define, or are the very essence of, humanity, its adherents cannot possibly understand.
To say that Progressives cannot process information is missing the mark, however. Their problem is that they reject information, and instead process emotion. Seeing, hearing, tasting, et al, is not receiving information. Sensory input stimulates the emotions, and actions flow from those emotional responses. It has never entered their minds that other people would process information in a completely different way. To them we appear moronic, or dead inside, and to us of course they appear completely irrational because they are completely irrational to the point of not understanding “rational” at all.

Emotionalism vs. rationality.
The left has no problem with offing Presidents they don’t like.
The right realizes that assassinations and violent coups almost always turn out very badly.

I think that we should provide the best armed protection for whoever we EMPLOY in the office of President. And according to the DELEGATED POWERS under which that person serves, it is NONE of his business what his EMPLOYERS choose for their armed protection.

Very ominous the thought of Obama being killed. Martyr. Emergency. Excuse. High Emotion to make bad decisions from. Not a good idea.
I also worry about the first family being harmed. Equally bad for the same reasons, and nobody deserves their family killed because you can’t do your job right.
What’s up with the secret service? Have they really just gotten that bad, or are they suffering from mismanagement and conflicting regs/procedures/etc?

If he won’t be indicted, then the best we can hope for is a quiet transition and a long and lonely life as he witnesses every idea and law he stood for get discredited and thrown on the ash heap of history.
And an aside. If they are surprised that Republicans and conservatives don’t want their political opponent dead (murder or executed, the semantics are almost equal here), that reveals volumes as the saying goes, about what Leftists want deep down. Romney, McCain, Boehner, it isn’t enough that they be opposed with every emotional fiber of their beings, Romney, McCain, Boehner have to be dehumanized as wanting hell on earth, and then liquidated. These frothingmouthed Leftists get scarier every year.
