In gun control news

Cali, who has the most and still has mass shootings, wants to try even harder to fail.

And in Chicago, a silly bill to videotape firearms transfers. What could possibly go wrong?

Shorter version of the Chicago bill: Rahm knows it won’t fly, but the resulting law suits will drag the opening of gun stores in the city past his term of office.

  2. Joe Huffman Says:

Let’s have requirements for bookstores to videotape (tape? Really? Shouldn’t that be “Video SD Card” or something?) all purchases and limit purchase to one a month.

So, what do you call three dead in a drive-by? Well, in Chitown it’s “a slow night”, while in an enclave of what Tam called “Special Snowflake Warehouse & Indoc. Center” (sniff! that’s beautiful, man) it’s a Mass Shooting.

Why the difference in Public Outrage? No, it’s not racism or elitism; it’s way more insidious than that. It’s that it doesn’t fit the narrative.

The prime driver, to wit: while daboyzndahood are mostly “prohibited persons” armed with “prohibited pieces”, our little virgin here apparently was not.

So while the former roundly disprove it, the latter fits the (real) purpose perfectly; There Oughta Be (another) Law…or at least, you know, some (more) Sensible Restrictions.

Dancing in Blood…it oughta be a teevee series, but then, I guess it already is.

It’s not bangers or whackjobs they want to disarm. It’s you. And me. Whatever it takes.

I have never been in a gun store that DID NOT have cameras…

Videotaped (or recorded by modern methods) transactions are the equivalent of a poll tax, an unreasonable burden on a constitutional right.

The Chicago Way is not involved in the good of the citizenry, as far as I can tell.

  6. Windy Wilson Says:

The anti-liberty people who always want yet another “reasonable restriction” on firearm ownership are like social drinkers, who can’t go through a day without quite a few “social drinks”

I’m waiting for some drunk driving deaths to propose that the presence of alcohol in the homes of leftists encourages and facilitates such events because it normalizes the purchase of alcohol, and by more people buying the stuff, the price goes down, so the drunk drivers can afford to buy more. Perhaps limited hours and limited quantities of alcoholic beverages, perhaps special ID with certification from doctors. Perhaps limiting the proof of liquors.
Nah, they would never recognize the similarities, never admit to the hypocrisy.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
