They took our jobs

Toyota leaving Cali for freer state. Good.

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that it was Plano specifically, an overwhelmingly conservative city (I think #5 nationwide.)

Dallas’ mayor wants to say it was our schools, which is silly. They are fleeing Cali to get away from Democrats. Why would they leave one set of Dems just to go to a city STILL RUN BY DEMS, when they can go 10 miles away and be in highly conservative Plano instead?

While the largest division of Toyota in America, Autos are not the only division. Toyota Material Handling moved their HQ from greater LA to Columbus, Indiana last year.

California has sucked as a place to do business for decades. (I lived there in the 80s and couldn’t understand why most companies didn’t leave then. With the way SF is treating everyone, not sure why Google, et al don’t move as well.)

Crowded. Stupid expensive. Earthquakes. Fires. Fake. Age-discriminating. The home of the nanny-state. And stupid expensive. I spent 4.5 years there and left as soon as I could w/o hurting my career.

There are beautiful places to visit – if you can get there Mon-Fri, because weekends are insane.

Toyota has a beautiful campus in Torrance. It’s a huge piece of real estate. That’s going to be a massive hole in the middle of that town will be left by their departure. Honda is just down the street. Wonder if they are looking to exit too?

BTW, if you go to the Torrance Wal-mart, you’ll realize that the “People of Wal-mart” is not just a southern thing. East TN Wal-mart’s ain’t got shit on California.

The Toyota truck plant down near San Antonio makes a nice product, too.

When my 13 year old Chevy Silverado gives up the ghost (and at 306,500 miles its time may be close) I’d happily buy a Tundra, if I can afford one.

    …and yes, generally I can spell. 🙂

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
