I built one of these a few years ago.   The Box O’ Truth should have gotten a credit.

There are a variety of designs out there using wood, metal, and PVC. The Box O’ Truth design has to have all joints glued or it will tend, over time, to slant over. I also built mine with the intention of keeping the cost as low as possible. I use less PVC in my build. My other goal was making something that would break down so it would be easy to fit a dozen of them in the trunk of a car. when you have to glue all the joints, that’s tough to do. The last goal in my build was to accommodate targets and backers of all sizes. Replacing the cross bar allows for that. I really doesn’t matter which design you use. The one constant is that PVC is much better for portable personal use stands. Wood is just to heavy, and metal is more difficult to work with – unless you own the right tools.

I’ll have to email you my design on a PVC mover. Just use lawnmower wheels and PVC. Takes IDPA/IPSC targets to. Any light nylon rope and plastic stakes will do for making it move back and forth.

They ain’t hard to make and very light!

Oh, one thing about PVC target stands. Wind blows them over easy unless you weigh them down with a bag of sand or such.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
