Selective enforcement of the law is the first sign of tyranny

Is Obama enforcing the law? Only when it’s convenient for his political ends.

    – So you are saying that every country in the last 150 years has been a tyranny?

How very continental European of Obama. Not like those nasty English0speaking peoples whose ideas even now are spreading the belief that “all men are created equal” and should be equal before the law.

On the upside, this should make La Raza happy. Up until the early 19th century, Mexico has special laws and courts for different classes of people. Still do in a less overt way. So be happy, the United States is devolving to be more like the historical norms of Spanish Americas.

To be fair, the executive is allowed to selectively enforce laws that it thinks are unconstitutional. There is precedent for this, too. Similarly, the legislature can vote to defund laws or programs that it thinks are unconstitutional. However, the executive is required to carry out law that is deemed to be within the confines of the Constitution, which is a responsibility the legislature doesn’t have when deciding funding.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
