First permit holder arrested in Chicago

Seems the guy decided to settle a rent dispute with a firearm, which is illegal and stupid.

    Ugh.

Doesn’t say if he was trying to collect the rent or declining to pay it.

But yeah. Stupid use of a firearm.

  3. Phelps Says:

Since he was only charged with a misdemeanor, he’s most likely either an ex cop, or the relative of a cop.

Thank god it wasn’t a criminal armed with a gun! That would have been even more illegaller!

A permit holder in trouble for some gun use? Well, it was bound to happen. Only the leftists insist that non-LEO civilians be perfect (as contrasted to LEO civilians and military and others anointed with the fairy dust of government to authorize the possession of firearms.

Well, that assumes that’s all to the story, right? Myself, I’m wondering what’s gone unreported or misreported.

Not to mention that the junta that rules Chicago has just been itching to make an example of some luckless CHLer (that isn’t a city alderman, that is).

Curiously enough, I got my Texas CHL precisely because I was a landlord and had to evict an extremely unsavory family from one of my apartments.

I was in the apartment all alone on the night of the day they finally left, surveying the damage they caused to walls, floors, ceilings, fixtures, cabinets, doors, remembering the threats to “get me” if I actually evicted them, and wondering what the law was about me having my Glock with me in the apartment.

I signed up for a CHL class the next day and haven’t regretted doing so since.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
