One of the guns turned up in a shootout between authorities and cartel gunmen. The press keeps calling fast and furious a “botched” operation. It was not botched, it worked as planned.

It was “botched” insofar as they got caught. Marxism demands full-time obfuscation and deception. I’ll give this one to the Press– Whenever the truth comes out it’s a botched operation, so they’re just calling it like it is.

It was a complete success and worked exactly as planned.

Not quite as planned. It didn’t help the anti’s get their push for a new assault weapons ban enacted. In that regard it was a pretty big failure.

Yep, the actual ATF actions went 100% according to plan.
The operation was a failure because it didn’t let the “Progressives” sidestep Heller by somehow claiming foreign policy.
