Everything old is new again

It used to be All AK All The Time. Now, it’s All AR All The Time.

Seems the Paper of Making Up The Record is obsessed with AR-15s so much that they put out a phony story about the Navy Yard shooter trying to get one.

CNN says Yeah, he didn’t use an AR-15 but our staff spent so much time preparing a report on why it should be banned that here’s a story on why it should be banned even though that guy didn’t use one.

The person shot with an AR-15 that day was the mass murderer.

Robb has a handy guide for the media on AR-15 identification.

  1. The Jack Says:

The news has also been breathlessly reporting that he once rented an AR and used it for target practice!

The deodand is strong with them.

  2. wasntme Says:

Do they even have AR’s on military bases?

  3. Geodkyt Says:

Yes, they have ARs on base. A lot of times, the police are using semiauto AR15s rather than M4s, because:

    A. It’s really, really hard to justify a full auto mag dump on a suspect.

    B. Even for cops, fully automatic weapons present extra problems in tracking and storage. Just because they don’t have to pay NFA taxes on them doesn’t mean they don’t have to keep track of them. . . unless they are Secret Service or FBI, that is. [/snark]

    C. If you’re buying them brand new (rather than getting them donated by the Army), Title I 16″ Bushmasters cost less than Title II Colt or FN M4s.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
