Oops; the first amendment specifically protects freedom of speech AND freedom of the press, and so it makes absolutely no difference whether you’re officially a “journalist” (nod nod, wink wink) or not. Nor is the manner of conveyance of speech (the medium) mentioned, so that makes no difference either. They’re gonna have a very hard time with that one, as in there’s no way in hell (or on Earth).

As a precaution against malicious prosecution as a non-journalist, I’d suggest you print up a handful of blog posts in pamphlet format and drop them off at local Starbucks.
If pamphleteering in coffeehouses was good enough for Thom Paine, it should be good enough for you.

Wow. One of the common rebuttals to the “the Founders did not envision machine guns” attack on the Second Amendment was to transfer the logic to the First – “they didn’t envision the Internet either” – and watch them stammer.
The one flaw in that strategy is that it only worked to the extent that there was any actual liberalism left in the person in front of you. The internal totalitarian logic of Leftism, in its ongoing assimilation of “liberalism”, must lead to the day when they respond to this gambit by owning up to it: “Yeah, so what?”
Seeing it coming doesn’t really diminish the dark feeling of seeing it happen.
