Knowledge is power

And John Kerry wants none of it. The internet makes people harder to govern.

    Huh?

Look, I despise this guy from the next State “down East” of me but he is saying the ‘net makes people harder to govern because they can get enormously more information than pre-internet AND THAT IS A GOOD THING. Then he blabbers on about where he thinks it might have prevented wars, ie everywhere – excrement of a male bovine. It may have changed people’s support in either direction, but prevent or stop – nope.

Seems to me the internet makes people easier to govern, but much harder to rule. And I suspect that’s the major sticking point with Kerry his ilk.

The internet makes people harder to govern? That’s a feature, not a bug.

It’s because it makes the politicians look bad. It used to be that you could say what you want, and maybe some paper called you our a couple days later. Now you say crap, and half your audience is on their phones googling. That has to be frustrating, having to stay with the truth. Takes all the fun out of being a politician.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
