Quote of the Day

Roberta in comments:

There’s only two sides to anything: the side that is certain there are only two sides, and the side that isn’t.

That turned over over my laugh engine.

But of course

From a reader: The main point is that liberals and conservatives differ on gun control because liberals value statism and conservatives value individual rights.

And, you know, Majority of Democrats Are Willing to Part With Some Civil Liberties for Security. So are the elderly. This tells me something valuable but I’m not going to spoil it in case their strategists figure it out.

Go on. You know you want to.

Stop touching it

Also, rule 2. And, I’m guessing, either use a holster or do not catch a dropped gun.

Paper or plastic?

Forget 3D printed guns. Make them out of paper.

Deal Alert

$25 off Dewalt purchases.

Via Wizard, who says he doesn’t know drills.

I like Dewalt just fine however, the one I use mostly these days is this Bosch Drill/Impact Driver set. The battery life is pretty amazing, which is important to me. And it’s on sale. Cheap. Every once in a while, you can snag them for under two bills at Lowe’s.

One freaked out victim shaming a politician is not a political movement . . . it’s a blog post

The NRA is at the end of its rope, while they have blood to dance in. Or something. Yawn.

Democrats want to get rid of the Tiahrt amendment

Of course, they do. This, though, is one I would actually worry they could pull off.

Live free or there

In MA, of course: A Massachusetts kindergartner sparked panic on his school bus when he brought a plastic Lego gun — the size of a quarter — on board.

The war on reactive targets

The FBI says terrorists are buying over the counter explosives. Like pressure cookers and nails?

You don’t say?

Homeland Security says 3D printed guns are impossible to stop. Just like regular guns.

Gays with Guns: A Growing Subculture?

Shocking

A convicted felon supports gun control. Of course!

You can’t teach kids they have rights

If you do, how will they grow up not thinking the government is the end all, be all:

A Batavia High School teacher’s fans are rallying to support him as he faces possible discipline for advising students of their Constitutional rights before taking a school survey on their behavior.

The Fire Hedgehog: 88 PPSH SMGs mounted in the bombay of a Tu-2

The Fire Hedghog is just what the title says. It was 88 PPSH submachine guns each with a 75-round drum magazine mounted in the bombay of a Tu-2 used for strafing ground targets. This, although very unlikely, would be so cool as an option in war thunder. Imagine flying at 100m above a column of armored cars, or even better over an enemy bomber and just letting rip a torrent of bullets

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
