To avoid getting ousted from office, TN legislators moving ahead with gun bills.

Well, they can be taught.

So this Jeff Woods really is a dumbass in every article. The NRA doesn’t put anyone in office and can’t remove anyone from office. The people do.

  2. rickn8or Says:

Yeah, I DID notice a tad bit of ad homina and disinformation in the article.

Almost like he didn’t read the bill or didn’t have any familiarity with Tennessee handgun carry permit laws or anything. Not to mention a complete lack of knowledge about what happened to this same bill last year.

  3. Hartley Says:

Man oh man – forget the idiotic article, the comments are worth the trip over there. 100% beat-down on that moron..:-)

  4. comatus Says:

“Ad homines” woud be a plural of ad hominem, but I like Mr N8or’s twist a little because it sounds like Kramden & Norton doing formal rhetoric. Too bad, but without using it as the subject of the sentence, there’s no way to make it come out hominy, hominy, hominy. And now I’m hungry.

It’s so common in Iran, they named an ayatollah after it.

  5. Mu Says:

Well, you got lucky. Our NM gov (R) just announced her support for “closing the gun show loophole”.

  6. Bubblehead Les Says:

WOW! So, according to this “First Amendment Clinger,” Wayne LaPierre has the Power to issue an Edict and remove someone from Office?

Well, if that’s the case, why is BHO about to Blather and Blood Dance with “Gun Violence Victims” at tonight’s State of the Union? Why is Wayne keeping him in Power?

Oh, I get it. As long as the NRA keeps Obummer in the Oval Office, EVIL GUN COMPANIES can make BAZILLIONS selling Weapons of War to Kill Children.

    I understand.

  7. rickn8or Says:

Well, it COULD be worse in the Tennessee Legislature; as I commented elsewhere re: California’s new package of gun control bills: “… it seems California, New York and New Jersey are playing a game of “That’s not gun control; THIS is gun control!”

Or as the rest of us call it “Doubling down on stupid.”

  8. Ron W Says:

This bill is just an incremental move toward the full exercise of Article I, Section 26 of the Tennessee Cosntitution Declaration of Rights and the reciprocal right in the U.S. Bill of Rights. Besides, what other rights would they have businesses violate INSIDE our vehicles?

  9. chris Says:

How would Pith in the Wind’s editorial staff (or writers) feel if the Tn General Assembly passed legislation explicitly authorizing employers to prohibit liberal bumper stickers on employees’ cars parked on employer lots.

There would be no end to the caterwauling about the wholesale deprivation of First Amendment rights on employer properties.

Someone needs to suggest this employer edict to Ronnie Barrett, although I don’t think it would have the desired effect with his employees.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
