Death comes for us all, nobody has avoided it yet.

That said, I’d rather die trying to treat a cancer than from its eventual result.

While some of the information in that post is accurate, the rest is complete bunk. Specifically, that section on statin drugs. For instance, Atorvastatin (Lipitor) has been shown to significantly reduce cardiac events. It was actually a 5th in class statin, that means it was 5th of the major statin therapies to be released. You don’t get to be one of the highest selling medications being number 5 and not work. That’s why it was approved by the FDA. Every new statin drug now has to be tested against Lipitor or something like it in order to get approval.

I do think some drugs are over prescribed and there are recorded instances of shady dealings between the government and the pharmaceutical industry. That does not mean no serious research goes into development. Out of all the industries, the pharmaceutical industry spends one of the greatest percentages of its revenue on R&D. It has to, pharmaceutical development is tough shit.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
