In Texas

Well, not really, it’s Austin.

The city of Austin is breaking the law by banning gun shows. Some internet-led activism happened. The Texas AG weighs in with talk of a double-barreled lawsuit. Heh.

San Antonio will not allow gun shows in city-owned convention centers. However, a county-owned venue and several private exposition centers in the area take up the slack and the rental income.

A favorite Austin bumper sticker is “Keep Austin Weird.”

Round Rock, 20 miles north, is famed for its much more conservative judges, long prison terms for criminals, and no-nonsense police.

Pflugerville, which lies between Austin and Round Rock, has bumper stickers that read, “Stuck Between a Rock and a Weird Place.”

Markie Marxist sez: “Banning gun shows is just common communist sense, since it acts against private enterprise and private gun ownership at the same time. It’s like killing two capitalists with one stone! It’s perfectly legal to ban them, because it’s not breaking the law when WE do it – just ask my commie compadre, David Gregory. Whatever we Marxists do is perfectly legal, because WE do it.”

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
